Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?
- Citizens of countries listed as eligible for the Manaaki New Zealand Scholarship that have lived in the home country for 2 years before applying for the scholarship
- Students who are 18 years old or older during the beginning of the scholarship period (except for the Samoa Foundation scholarship, 17 years old applicants are allowed to apply)
- Students below 40 years old are preferred during the scholarship selection
- Students that fulfill the student visa requirements in New Zealand
- Students with a general level of English expected for undergraduate and postgraduate study
- Students with supervisors from New Zealand universities (for PhD applicants)
- Students that fulfill the academic requirements from the chosen course program
- Students that are committed to contributing to their country’s development after graduation for at least 2 years
- Applicants with relevant work experience of at least one year of full-time experience or two years of part-time work experience (for postgraduate scholarship applicant)
