Bai Xian Asia Institute is offering scholarship opportunities through the Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program (AFLSP). This scholarship program is provided for Asian countries citizens that have graduated from one of the designated institutions in Asia and are going to pursue a master’s program at Kyoto University, Japan in the academic year 2024.
Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?
- Students that have graduated or are expected to graduate at the beginning of the scholarship program period from one of the Asian schools that are listed as a target school for this scholarship
- Citizens of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thai, Nepal, Pakistan, East Timor, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Maldives, Mongolia, or Laos and not currently holding multiple citizenships.
- Students that are under 35 years old at the time of application
- Students who have a high proficiency in English that are equal to TOEFL iBT score minimum 90 and presentation skills (higher TOEFL score are preferable)
- Students that never received AFSLP scholarship in the previous year and are currently in need of financial support
- Students that are not receiving other scholarships in the period of the program and do not have a part-time or full-time job without the university permission
- Students who are already accepted in one of the master programs at Kyoto University and expected to enroll in 2024
- Mentally and physically healthy students with an outstanding academic record, high moral standard, strong personal integrity, interest in international and intercultural understanding and goodwill, issues of Asia, support towards AFSLP purposes, and preparation to contribute.
