South Korea is offering fully funded scholarships for international students from 147 countries commencing Master degree, Doctoral degree, & research programs in 2024.

The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) 2024 will be available at 71 universities in South Korea. The scholarship program will cover full tuition fees, settlement & monthly allowance, Korean language training, medical insurance, tickets, research allowance, etc. The application process will be divided into 2: by the embassies & the universities.

Fully Funded Scholarships, Kookmin University, South Korea

Kookmin University is inviting international students to apply for the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) University Track. This program is provided for Master and PhD degrees with various study programs to choose from. The scholarship also includes fully-funded 1-year Korean courses.

Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?

  • Citizens of GKS partnering countries that are not Korean citizens and do not have parents with Korean citizenship and do not currently hold Korean double citizenship.
  • For graduate programs, students that are under 40 years of age (or a maximum of 45 years old for applicants that are academic professors in the Official Development Assistance (ODA) countries)
  • Students that are healthy physically and mentally for the duration of the program
  • Students who meet the eligibility criteria, educational background, and language requirements given by the chosen study program at Kookmin University
  • Students with CGPA at least 2.64 out of 4.0 or equal or ranked within the top 20% in their past education
  • Students that are GKS Scholars are allowed to apply with extra requirements
  • Applicants that haven’t applied for GKS University Track in other universities

The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) is offering scholarships opportunities for international students that are interested in pursuing a degree at Korean Universities. This scholarship is offered for Undergraduate, Master, and PhD programs in various field of study. The GKS is also provided for international studies and R&D study programs that are offered at Korean Universities. This scholarship is open for the University and Embassy tracks.

Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?
