Yonsei University is inviting international students to apply for the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) University Track. This scholarship is provided for Masters and Doctorate degrees and includes Korean language courses.
Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?
- Citizens of GKS partnering countries that are not Korean citizens and do not have parents with Korean citizenship and do not currently hold Korean double citizenship
- For graduate applicants, students that are under 40 years old (or a maximum of 45 years old for applicants that are academic professors in the Official Development Assistance (ODA) countries)
- Students that are healthy physically and mentally for the duration of the program
- Students that meet the educational and language requirements given by the chosen program
- Students with CGPA at least 2.64 out of 4.0 or equal or ranked within the top 20% in their past education
- Students that are considered as GKS Scholars are allowed to apply with extra requirements
What degrees are offered in this scholarship?
- This scholarship is provided for various study programs with master’s and Ph.D. degree
- The programs available for the master and Phd degrees are the departments that are included in College of Liberal Arts, Commerce & Economics, Business, Graduate School Department, Science, Engineering, Life Science & Biotechnology, Theology, Social Sciences, Law, Music, Human Ecology, Sciences in Education, Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Advanced Science Institute, Pharmacy, Convergence Research & Education in Advanced Technology, Underwood International, Global Creative Convergence, Science and Technology Convergence, and Software & Digital Healthcare
- Some majors might require the applicants to choose the sub-field of studies
- Yonsei University also provides International Studies class majoring in Korean Studies, Global Studies in International Cooperation, Global Studies in International Trade, Finance & Management, International Cooperation, International Trade & Finance, International Management, and Global Citizenship & Human Development
- Applicants are only allowed to apply for one program
